Trailblazers – Walking the Path of Commitment
In our Trailblazers series, we’re exploring what it means to go “all in” for Jesus and His mission. Just like trailblazers forge paths for others, we’re called to commit fully to following Christ, serving others, and building His Kingdom. This series serves as the foundation for our membership class, and we’d love for all our regular attenders to join us each week as we take this important journey together. Let’s walk the path of faith, purpose, and commitment as a church family!
Day 1: Transformative Faith in Action
Our faith is not meant to be confined within the walls of the church; it is a call to actively engage with and transform our communities. This involves stepping out and making a tangible difference in people’s lives, as exemplified by the mission trip to Montreal. During this trip, a group painted a housing complex, and through their kindness, a resident was led to Christ. This story illustrates the power of living out our faith in practical ways, showing that our actions can speak volumes and lead others to Jesus.
Matthew 5:14-16 (ESV): “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Reflection: Think of a specific way you can step out of your comfort zone this week to serve someone in your community. How can your actions reflect the love of Christ to them?
