Dear Church Family,
As we continue our Trailblazers series, I am excited to guide you through Week 2, focusing on what are our core doctrines and how to live those doctrines out through discipleship. Our journey together is about deepening our understanding and commitment to the foundations of our faith and helping you to understand what membership at The Crossings Community Church looks like..
This week, we'll explore the vital doctrines that shape us as a community. Our faith is grounded in understanding God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; recognizing humanity's need for redemption; rejoicing in the salvation offered through Jesus Christ; and holding steadfastly to the Bible as God's unerring Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 11:6).
But belief without action can leave our spirits stagnant. And at the Crossings we are not just about the “hearing” of the word but also the “living out” of the word. Therefore, we will embrace the call to active discipleship. Through practices such as prayer, Scripture study, fasting, and service, we continue to follow Christ's path (Luke 9:23, John 8:31-32). Let’s commit to a Bible reading plan and embrace the power of daily prayer to revive and invigorate our spiritual lives.
Moreover, we are called to be disciples who make disciples and to be a church that plants new churches. We are called to multiply ourselves and our churches through evangalizm, discipleship and service. This relational journey involves sharing the hope and truth found in Jesus with those around us, living out the Great Commission in our everyday lives (Matthew 28:19-20, Colossians 1:28). You are encouraged to share your faith story using our online resources.
As we move forward, let's do so with open hearts, welcoming the transformation that deepens our relationship with Christ and strengthens our bonds as a community of faith. Together, we are on a path toward a more profound, living faith that impacts ourselves and those we touch.
I love you all
