Friends,
Welcome to our new Crossings Newsletter. I do hope it is impactful for you. You will notice that every week you can look forward to seeing what is on the church calendar, what the volunteer schedules look like, how much we brought in with giving last week versus what we budgeted for as well as last weeks attendance.
Additionally, you will always be able to look forward to a small thought or reflection in this section from one of your pastors. Our hope with this newsletter is to keep our congregation inspired for the week and well informed about what is going on in our wonderful church community.
Our Verse of the week says "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock." Isaiah 26:3-4 (ESV)
In times of uncertainty, these verses remind us where true peace is found—not in our surroundings, but in the Lord. When we fix our minds on Him and trust in His goodness, He keeps us in perfect peace. This peace doesn’t come and go with life’s circumstances; it is constant because it comes from our unchanging God.
God is described as our “everlasting rock,” a firm foundation that cannot be shaken. Life’s challenges may feel overwhelming at times, but God remains steady. He invites us to trust Him fully, resting in His strength and faithfulness.
I know we live in uncertain times. Many are fearful because of social and political ideologies. We are trying to launch a brand-new church. Things seem to be changing at a breakneck pace.
But as you go through this day, remember that the peace you seek is found in trusting the Lord. Keep your mind fixed on Him, and His peace will guard your heart. No matter what you face, the Lord is your rock, holding you secure in His steadfast love.
So, this is your reminder for the week to not be afraid but rest in the peace promised you by God and let’s be about our kingdom business!
