LET US GUIDE YOU IN YOUR FAITH

Radiate Student Ministry at The Crossings Community Church in Brunswick, Maryland, is created for students in 6th through 12th grade. This is a place where teenagers can build real friendships, ask honest questions, and grow in a faith that lasts beyond youth group.

Teen life is not easy. There is pressure from every direction, and students are constantly being told what to believe, how to act, and who they should become. Radiate exists to help students discover what is true, learn to follow Jesus in everyday life, and walk with confidence in a world that can feel overwhelming.

At Radiate Student Ministry, we help students discover what is actually true, not just what is trending this week.

What We Are About

What We Are About

At Radiate Student Ministry, we focus on three simple things:

  • Jesus: Learning who He is, what He taught, and why He matters
  • Community: A safe place to belong, be known, and grow with others
  • Mission: Living out your faith in real life, not just in a church building

We want students to develop a faith that is personal, real, and lived out at home, at school, and with friends.

When We Meet

When We Meet

Radiate Student Ministry meets on most Sunday nights from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

We also plan fun events throughout the year like games, outings, service projects, and special nights that help students connect and build friendships.

We Know What It's Like

We remember how hard it was to be a teenager trying to figure out what we actually believed, not just what we were told to believe. And we know parents carry their own weight, wanting a teenager who actually walks with Jesus, not just attends church.

Samya Watkins leads Radiate Student Ministry out of a conviction that goes back to her own teenage years: she was first introduced to The Crossings through its youth group, and the way she was welcomed the moment she walked through the doors changed the course of her life. That's the same welcome she works to pass on to every Radiate student today. She's certified in CPR and First Aid and is pursuing a degree in early childhood development, and she treats every student in the ministry as if they were her own, prioritizing their emotional and physical well-being right alongside their spiritual growth. Hear it directly from a student who's found that here.

"I spent most of my teenage years feeling broken, used and lost. Coming to Radiate has been the best decision I have made and it has given me people I know I can lean on when times get hard. Radiate has helped me to find a light in my life I spent so long searching for. Every Sunday I look forward to going to Radiate because I know I have truly found a family here and I have met the kindest people you could ever know through Radiate. Everyone here has such a light that shines so bright through them and I know these people are my family."

Here's How It Works

Come This Sunday

Bring your teen this Sunday, 5 to 7 PM.

Ask Anything

They will bring a real question. We will not dodge it.

Find Their People

They will find a small group of students who actually get it.

At Radiate Student Ministry, we know you want your teenager to have real friendships, ask honest questions, and grow a faith that actually lasts beyond youth group. In order to get there, they need a place that won't dodge the hard questions or expect them to fake it. The problem is that today's teenagers face pressure from every direction, constantly told what to believe, how to act, and who they should become, which leaves them quietly unsettled, craving something true and stable they can actually stand on. We believe teenagers deserve a place to wrestle with faith honestly before they're expected to have it all figured out. We remember how hard it was to be a teenager trying to figure out what we actually believed, not just what we were told to believe, and we know parents carry that same weight, wanting a teenager who actually walks with Jesus, not just attends church. Here's how it works: bring your teen this Sunday, 5 to 7 PM. They'll bring a real question, and we won't dodge it. They'll find a small group of students who actually get it. So bring your teen this Sunday. And if you have questions first, reach out to us anytime, no pressure. So your teen can stop figuring out faith alone, or walking away from it entirely, and instead grow into someone who knows what they believe and why, whose life actually looks different because of it, surrounded by friends who'll stick with them through it.

Partnering With Parents

We believe parents and guardians matter. Radiate Student Ministry is here to support families, encourage healthy conversations at home, and come alongside you as you disciple your teenager.

Come As You Are

You do not have to have everything figured out to be part of Radiate Student Ministry. If you are new to church, unsure about faith, or have been following Jesus for a long time, you are welcome here.

If you have questions or want to know what a Sunday night looks like, reach out anytime. We would love to meet you.
